Apply Workflow - feature to ask Candidate to confirm email address when they apply
The customer would like to prompt the candidate to enter their email address a second time to help reduce the likelihood of a typo
The customer is not concerned about losing candidates, or that the candidate my make a typo in the email. The concern is that a candidate with a mistyped email will get linked to another candidate, and later in Peoplesoft that other candidate can see the data (i.e. when they login to TAM).

We agree with other customers. We have a very high level of candidates who enter incorrect information. Please ask them to confirm the email twice to help reduce the invalid email addresses. Many we see are typing the .com incorrectly as .con... that should be an easy validation for you to add.

Customer has requested that we add double e-mail entry to apply workflow as they report a 'high' number of candidates do not enter the e-mail address correctly, double entry and checking these match would reduce this risk

What is the Case #? All communication should be in Netsuite so Support is aware.
We need to understand the impact.
- Adding another field to confirm email during candidate apply will increase drop-off by x%.
- Adding email field for confirm will reduce email entry errors by y%
- What % of candidates that type a wrong email will be connected to another candidate (i.e. the typo matches a real candidate in their system)
So we need to understand is the # of candidates lost for the extra field vs. the risk of getting invalid email entries that match another candidate.

I told the prospects that we have validation/pattern logic, but yes, the confirmation part they were asking for was the typical "enter your email address twice so we can check them against each other to make sure you did not type it in wrong"
I've seen this a lot on other websites, shopping etc.--the logic being: of all the info you provide to us, email is the most important, so we can't risk a typo..
so basically it's just a typo check.
Gartner was asking for some logic to be added where they could identify it a GARTNER email was entered and then do some action from there like a redirect, but that's pretty specific. The email 2x entry is pretty standard functionality these days
We currently have basic email validation logic (i.e. pattern).
By email confirm --> it is just retying their email address in a 2nd field and comparing to make sure it is same?
